AMIGURUMI DONUTS

I crocheted a couple of super cute amigurumi donuts this weekend.
I followed a free pattern I found online. Free pattern Link Here

I only had yellow yarn to use for the donut, but I had lots of leftover white and pink to use for the frosting. I got some free beads from a friend of mine so this project turned out to be quick, cheap, and easy!

Magic Attic Club Doll Rose/Rosa

I'm very excited to be adding another doll to my collection. Introducing Rosa/Rose all doe-eyed and dolled up. I bought her off of eBay for less than $25 including shipping, a great deal I know! I love collecting dolls in the 18" category and when I saw that people still sell dolls from the popular Magic Attic Club Book series, I had to have one. I really lucked out because she was listed as a "1997 17" Vinyl African American/Indian Doll Gotz?" I was the only person to bid on her, but let's be honest she didn't look like much from the pictures.
See for yourself...

Et Voila!

I brushed her hair to the side, crocheted her a sweater with a gold button and a multicolored skirt and gave her lots of tender love and care. Doesn't she look brand new!

Featured Review

Beast's Belle did a lovely review after receiving two of my crochet creations.

This was a fun project to work on. I used mainly double and half double crochet and added a scallop detail to the hem of the yellow dress. Also I am loving this yarn I bought from A.C. Moore. You can always go to their website and print out a coupon that gives you 50% or 40% off a regular priced item, this way you can save on yarn and have plenty for all of your projects. The blue and yellow yarn have a vibrant color as well as being soft and sturdy. It's a good weight and durability for children and doll collectors alike.

The Review can be seen HERE at the beautiful and informative Never Grow Up: A Mom's Guide to Dolls and More.

The first outfit is a yellow and white sweetheart top dress with a small gem. She also showed an adorable outfit variation that I love!

The other outfit is a blue and white set that looks fantastic on her doll "Charlie."

The bubble skirt is a fashion must-have and surprisingly easy to crochet. If you know how to increase and decrease, you could make one too!

I chose a hot pink ;) and dressed my Elizabeth doll in a matching necklace and bracelet.

I was used to crocheting flared skirt's, but I'm glad I stepped outside the box and tried something new. I didn't even use a pattern.

Here's Penelope in a white bubble skirt with pink trim. I added a headband and purse to complete the set.

Teal blue chain scarf

This is a set I made after my sister, Melissa, taught me how to crochet a chain scarf.

You all probably remember making those paper chains in elementary school, with the different colors of construction paper.

How to make paper chain
I don't remember what ever happened to that chain when it was finally completed but this is essentially the same thing, but made out of yarn!
I especially loved making this set and if it doesn't sell this time around, I'm keeping it for myself ;)

Doesn't Penelope, my Sweet & Chic Madame Alexander Doll, look sooo adorable!

I love this bold teal color, it reminds me of cotton candy, yum!

Mezmerizing Spiral Doll Dress

Here are two versions of my spiral dress I created for my Madame Alexander Doll "Cerise".
The first is a really cool long halter dress with colors black red and white. I did a unique woven detail for the back.

The second is a pretty "summery" version with bright red, pink, and yellow. it is a sleeveless one-shouder mini-dress.

If you're looking for fashions like these for your Madame Alexander, American Girl Doll, or other 18" doll (Battat, Our Generation, Tolly Tots, , Springfield Collection, Journey Girls Doll, Gotz, etc.)   please check out my ebay shop. =)
